Archer Daniels Midland Company Picking Up Soybean Crushing Facility

ADM wants to buy a Deerfield, MO soybean crushing facility, used for creating both soy meal & biodiesel, from Prarie Pride, and begin a partnership with the company for the biodiesel part of the business.

Hopefully this acquisition & partnership bodes well for continued investments in sustainable cleaner burning fuels.

Tax Credits for Solar & Wind Pass the Iowa Senate

The IOWA Senate today passed an energy bill allowing tax credits for businesses and homeowners who construct solar and wind systems at their business or non-rental property.

The refundable tax credits would amount to thirty percent of the cost of installation, up to a maximum of $3,000 for homeowners and $15,000 for commercial businesses.

The bill, which received overwhelming support in the State Senate, caps the overall tax credits at $10 million dollars per year.
